About
Technology moves fast enough that most coverage either drowns in jargon or oversimplifies until it stops being useful.
Coverage here spans two areas. Tech looks at the tools and platforms themselves. Useful covers the everyday, practical side.
We try to write the piece we'd have wanted to read.
New material is added regularly across both sections.
About the author
I've spent most of my career working directly with the tools I write about. My name is Elena Cross. I write about technology and the practical, everyday questions.
I try to stay honest about what I haven't personally tested.
